Thanks Scott! Wow, what a small world! Glad you were able to make it out - gonna do it again this fall sometime!
Thanks, Scott! Really looking forward to this year's gig at the Garryowen - it's going to be busy with all the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg campaign. Hope you can make it!
Happy 30th to you and your beloved, Scott! Have all the fun you can stand on your trip! :)
Scott,
I hope all the difficulties with your daughter's pregnancy can be remedied soon. I can't imagine how hard this must be on you all. Take good care.

Thanks for the comment on my 1st video effort. I've only been in Fairmont for about 5 years. William Wylie was living in Beverly WV when he made the dulcimer in the video. It was made in Aug 1966 according to the label, and was number 114. I know nothing about him. I bought the instrument at the auction of what was left of Patty Looman's instruments about 2 months ago.

Hello Scott, thank you for your comment, I must confess that I did not give a thought to a copyright for Elk River, do I need to offer an apology somewhere? The Red oak sounds interesting, I have never used it for instrument building, was given some to use for hammered dulcimers, but did,nt use it because I was not happy with the possible reaction (corrosion, blue stain ect ) between the oak and the tuning pins?
best wishes
