Hi! I'm a newbie to playing the dulcimer. Have wanted one for about 30 years and am so happy to finally fulfill that dream. I've played flute, recorder and whistle a little over the years... and am finding time to pick those up once again.
I presently live in Austin with my wonderful hubby, Dan, of 38 yrs. I spend my days in my art studio (with my 3 studio mutts) mostly metalsmithing, although I do occasionally pull out my paints. Nature is my inspiration in art and music ties right in there also as its a part of my daily life. In fact I would say music is at the root of all that I love. It brings me to tears, it makes me smile, it inspires me, it brings back memories and helps to make new ones. I more times than not, hear the music and not the words of a song. I believe that life itself is a symphony... and we all play a part in making it beautiful! ~ Selah
