Does anyone know where I can get a music holder that is held secure by part of it being under the dulcimer? Every time I see one at a festival, the person tells me that a friend made it for them. I sure would like to have one of these instead of a floor stand. Thanks!
Hi Vicki. Miss you guys. Just saw your comment. Got over that one and just had another one. Geez, a lady hardly gets a chance to practice in between. I don't know anything about bass dulcimers, but I'm sure someone on here does. If you could find a used baritone and string it with heavier strings it would give you an idea - might want a new nut to do it, and saddle, so the original one doesn't get widened out. Had a bad experience putting baritone strings on a regular one for just half an hour, do it at your own risk. There is a new player on here, VTMama from Barnet - hope you can catch up with her, I told her about the group, but also NOT to miss playing N/D lol. Say hi to all, no hope of travel these days.
Vicki, I also meant to mention that at the top of the page is a heading for Groups; it is a drop-down menu where you can find a listing for Northeastern United States group that you can join.
Hi Vicki, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Hi Vicki, please see my private message in your INBOX... thanks! :)
