One of my favorite memories is sitting with family and snappin' green beans - pick a bean from one bowl, snap it, put it in the colander or other bowl. I loved the sound, the smell of the fresh snapped beans, the feel of the fuzz on the fresh beans, and the gentle chatter amongst everyone. Simple things, gentle memories - those are so powerful! Do you have memories of snapping beans? Let me know!
I'm playing my new-to-me bargain dulcimer - a 1992 Walnut Valley dulcimer, made in Kansas. I am not using an amp, as the pick is drawing the volume from the dulcimer. I'm just using my webcam to record.
Music is ©️2026 Carol L Hatfield
My solo dulcimer album is available on Bandcamp, Amazon, Apple Music/iTunes, Pandora, Tidal, and iHeartRadio. There are links below.
(Be sure to take a look at the liner notes on Bandcamp, as they tell the story behind each tune or song 🙂)

Thank you, James! Yes, definitely one of the three sisters, and holding great memories : )
Really enjoyed this.I've loved beans all my life, planting them, watching them grow and climb, picking them, snapping them, eating them. They're one of the three sisters.Corn, beans and squash.
