If I do not have a cable connected to the amplifier at all then the amplifier doesn't hum but if I plug in the cable to the amplifier and the other end is not plugged into the instrument I get that home I don't believe I get the hum if it's plugged into the amplifier and the instrument. Oh Ken what is a RF interference

Does anyone know anything about a device that you can plug into your instrument and then the other end goes to the amplifier? I think it's called some kind of transmitter(s) . It looks like you plug in the transmitter into the instrument and then a receiver into the amplifier. That way You don't need a cord, however there's something about frequencies not sure what that has to do with anything but apparently you need to take that into consideration when purchasing these units anybody out there have an idea on a good brand is to buy and can explain this thing about frequencies thanks again
