Gregory, that Movie Maker software is great isn't it? It has just the basics and a few other things. That's great you can play by ear. I haven't been able to do that successfully yet but I'm working on it. Thanks for sharing!!!!

Thanks, Gordon! For me it was a blessing. I've been pretty much tone deaf my whole life. A couple of years of piano lessons, and a good year of harmonica practice had availed me naught (Thankfully none of those sessions was ever recorded Grin.gif ). When I took up the dulcimer last fall, I decided to devote the bulk of my playing time to meditation and prayer. In the middle of an early Mel Bay lesson on Ode to Joy, some deep pathway in my musically challenged brain was opened, and I could play the second half of the tune by ear. Coincidence? I think not...
