Thanks, Gordon! I love the old Dobro & slide guitar sounds. I thought of getting a resonator dulcimer built, but the good ones seem to cost about 2-3x as much as a regular dulcimer, and the one I Really wanted wasn't available. So I found this Gretsch Boxcar lap style guitar on Amazon at a bargain price, and thought to myself, "Well, it's just a few more strings and a few more frets..."
Hey Greg, sure do like the sounds coming from that resonator. Is that a natural progression, once you master the dulcimer, you then get to move on to the resonator?
Thanks!
You can use a slide on a dulcimer. Here's a very instructive video on the subject from Bing Futch:
Nice.
Can a slide be used on a dulcimer?
Fantastic Greg, you'll have great fun with that. Sounds really good.
