If I were to do it again, I would think about making a few changes, maybe a 32-33" box to get a longer VSL, put the pre-amp on the other side, maybe try a mag pickup instead of the piezo, and 4 string setup instead of the five I started with. Once I get the final finishing touches done I'll try to post some audio. Right now it has a 28" VSL . Doesn't sound too bad though.

I'm getting a slightly heavier bass string. I want to see if I can get it to play down to a drop D [d1] from the E[e1], to end up with a D1-A1-D2-G2 tuning which may be better for playing with other MD players. I'm still learning how to play on it. I found a bass site that is helpingtremendously.
