Sam, I've heard so many nice things about Rod on this site. I'm sure I would have liked him! I will try this in DAA to see what it sounds like. I'm really enjoying the old time sound on this dulcimer. I sure wish I could play decently with a noter...but I'm quite terrible.

Cheryl I had the very good fortune to make the acquaintance (briefly) of Rod Westerfield here. As always Rod was there to help a beginner. In The Pines was one of the songs Rod suggested to me to learn in DAA with a noter. Your beautifully simplistic video has brought me good memories. I'll never hear the tune without thinking of, remembering and being thankful for meeting Rod.

Thanks ya'll! Carrie, I have this song tabbed if you want me to email it to you I will. Still haven't finished tabbing River Shannon one....working my butt off this week at my paying job and get home too tired to do much of anything besides fix supper and clean up!

Rob...it is a pleasant tune...I like the way Doc Watson does it.

Jennifer.....thanks...I didn't realize I was sitting up so straight! Habit I guess.....I sit way on the front edge of the chair for classical guitar...straight as an arrow!
