Gary, I never play without a possum board. The difference in brightness and clarity of the sound is significant over resting the dulcimer on you legs. I need that extra "boost" to match my singing.

Possum boards, galax backs, and anything else that allows the resonating back of the dulcimer to vibrate make a significant difference in sound. Nice demonstration!

Gary, that is excellent that you have got your possum board together and demonstrated.

I can hear a big difference, I will be looking forward to hearing your song you want to play for us.Smile.gif

Meant to ask you what kind of dulcimer that is.

This is really neat. I have a student who just ordered an Applecreek and I'm going to show this one to her.
