It's one I picked up fairly recently, a Bill Davis that I got lucky and found on EBay, was in pretty rough shape when it got here, the fret wires were green from corrosion, the wood was extremely dry and a crack had opened up in the wood grain itself on the back about 6 or so inches long, but some serious TLC, wood glue, clamps and lemon oil, it's super sweet now!
It's got the Bill Davis carved signature on the back and even has, "To Gene Courson by Bill Davis" on the back.
Can't guess the year, but it's now one of my favorites.
