That's my TMB!  Beware when admiring the work of a builder!   BTW Irene, that table looks suspiciously like the fold-up antique sewing table I use with it!  I believe the stripes are cherry (your wood) & walnut.  It doesn't have the rounded edges & one long side has yardstick markings.

That is so cool, Irene.  Nice work.  Plantar fasciitis is so painful.  Both my husband and I have had it.  A physical therapist taught me how to wrap my foot in that stretchy bandage stuff.  It really helped.  Happy Thanksgiving.  Nina

That's a beaut, Irene!  Glad your foot's getting better! Building a dulcimer a day seems to keep the doctor away!

I had plantar fasciitis in my right foot and for several months I'd not been creating in my shop.   Sick of having a sick foot.  I first made this dulcimer in my mind that night and in the morning went to the shop and did all the woodworking in one day.  I had all the parts, except 4 banjo tuners. So here he is.   Too thick a sound board, but it's what I had in the shop. Made 3 dulcimers since then and foot is getting much better.  YEAH.
