All poplar, Don.
What kind of wood? I'm thinking Poplar top finished with something.
A real Thomas, ca 1910. We strongly suspect replacement pegs, nut & saddle. Not the one needing repairs.
Mike - I assume that's the original Thomas that you said came in for repairs. I wonder if anyone has done a study and noted all the variations that Uncle Ed produced over the years. I'm thinking of the two groove scroll knob for example.
Is this particular instrument a real Ed Thomas dulcimer, or a reproduction? If real, those are replacement tuning pegs?
Looks good Mike.
