My Hickory Ridge Mountain Dulcimer with my new acoustic amp and stand. This setup really works great and again I have the kind folks from this online forum to thank... so, Thank you!
At the beginning of the summer I decided to have a pickup installed in my 1984 Hickory Ridge Mountain Dulcimer. I went with a K&K ALOHA TWIN UKE PICKUP. Photo below. I LOVE it. After choosing the pickup I searched this website for recommendations for portable amps that I can play my dulcimer outside. Serveral of you suggested the Roland Mobile Acoustic amp. I took your recommendation and I love it! The pickup and amp combo allowed me to play background music every Sunday at an outdoor concert series and I could be heard! Thank you for all that you do. A photo of my dulcimer at the summer concert series is below.
A warm welcome to you and may you make lots of new music friends here!
Hi Mike, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Welcome to FOTMD Mike. It's good to have you aboard.
"The dulcimer sings a sweet song."
Greetings from Vermont Mike and welcome to the site. If you like that song, check out the wonderful Guy Babusek on this site. His celtic music makes me cry!
Hey Mike, welcome aboard. Glad ya found us.
Welcome, Mike, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. Hope you enjoy it here.
