The echo can be heard quite loud on the 4th fret and the 7th fret. I suspect that all of the 'sympathetic' strings being in contact with the bridge might prolong the sustain of the actual VSL's as well.

It sounds to me like the bundt pan is helping to amply the harmonics at the 4th and 7th frets.
