Hi Richard, I am happy to hear you have a Tignor repro. by Kevin. I haven't studied Tignor to much extent, but well look forward to putting it on my list to learn about.
I have on order a "Uncle Ed Thomas" repro. I am having Mike Slone build and am very excited about it. I couldn't choose Kevin because my hands would not be able to handle the wood turners, I will be getting perfection tuners. I am very fond of our reproduction luthier's on this site and feel that my "Thomas" will be my prized dulcimer.
I have not been playing long, I love my educational process of learning and play noter/drone, I really enjoy the traditional sounds, history and everything about the mountain dulcimer.
Enjoy this site, the folks are very generous with their knowledge and will answer any ole' question you may have, not to mention seem to be lots of really good folks.
Enjoy your MD Journey and just have Fun
