Okay, bad idea, but a good lesson on how NOT to treat your valuable instruments from some people who know!

Yeah if those guitars were valuable, they ought not to be hanging like that precariously in the open with no humidity control etc.
I agree with Rob. I once had a guitar many years ago that I stored against an outside wall (I was still living in NJ), and the neck bowed so much that it became a harp

Interesting, I hadn't heard that, but the basic concept would work on all interior walls too, without the fireplace, of course.
hmmm.... yeah it looks nice but are there some hanging against an outside wall? I was always told that's a no no with acoustic instruments.
