Thanks, Nate, you answered my question. "Constricted" was not quite the right word, Since it's loud, obviously the thin waist design didn't affect the volume of sound.I;d love to hear this one!

Hello and thank you! I am not sure what exactly you mean by constricted, but it is pretty loud and sounds bright and chiming because of the very thin cake pan. It's quite a bit larger than most, the sides are 4" tall so as to accommodate the depth of the pan, which i would assume helps make it quite a bit louder as well, and also it has a false bottom. Overall, it is the loudest of any I've made yet.
Good to see folks who are still willing to experiment! You learn so much .....
