I forgot to mention that you'll also need 4 little wood screws and some kind of membran. You can make them easily by cutting out a rectangular piece of a plastic bag (the kind they sell as "sandwich bags" over here - very thin material ). Just try it out!
And different from the sketch I'd recommond to drill the pilot holes through the cover piece into the "body" of the instrument!
But it's really not too complicated and can be done with very basic tools...
