Reuben's Train - more from my Black Forest holiday...

musician/member name: Music
Duration: 00:02:13
description:
Another holiday impression from the Black Forest (August 2016). The "Sauschwänzlebahn" (Pig's Tail Track) is a historic railroad that near the border between Germany and Switzerland for about 25 km. Because of the narrow valley it has a lot of curves and even a complete loop tunnel inside the mountain! That is why it is called "Pig's Tail Track", because it is curved like a pig's tail.
I recorded this in a minor tunig (DAcc) on my McSpadden 4FHWW/e.

Peter,

That was great. I love the way you combined the tune with a real train. I play this tune a lot because I love the way it flows. Maybe I just like trains too.

Thanks for posting this. It was fun.

Nice picking and the vid really brings it down the track.

Thank you so much for posting this your rendition is great there is no doubt  about the interpretation of a train. I also think the pig's tail track would be a great name for a new tune.

Thank you for your comments. I appreciate that, they give me motivation!

@Rob: I have got an old version of "Ulead Photo Studio". It has two layers, so you can mix two different videos together. The second layer has different transparent "masks", one of them is that oval shape.
The bad thing about it is that my camera produces mp4 or mov files. But the software is too old and can't work with these two formats. So I had to render the videos with the "Windows Movie Maker" into wmv first. And the output was an mpg file. That is why it is not an HD resolution. (Hope I got the technical terms correctly).

Neat.  Not only great playing of a great tune, but the video was really cool, too.  Out of curiosity, what software did you use to put your dulcimer in the oval window?
