Spotted Pony (Mountain Dulcimer)

musician/member name:
Duration: 00:01:42
description:
And here's today's number three of my "old time easy strumming standards" - an attempt on "spotted pony". There seem to be several variations of the tune, hope mine is okay for all who knew the song before.

I think I learned to play that by the tabs made by Steve Smith. But I learned to play it "by heart" very soon, and it is really a song I like play on the dulcimer.

Peter, "Regional variations" are what make these old tunes interesting. Your version is almost like the one I play (for what that's worth LOL!) Very nice playing. Excellent rhythm on the strumming.
