I bought a great book by John and Karen Keane of all original songs for Native American Flute and Dulcimer.
Their version is more upbeat but it's hard to play that fast on the low dm bass flute that I was playing. (as I'm still a beginner!)
So check out their book and cd to see how it really sounds

I'm using a beautiful High Spirits Condor Bass flute with one inch bore made for smaller hands!

I also play NAF (your flute looks like mine - of course Odel made mine, too LOL - I own a few (30+) HS flutes). I love playing my dulcimer but I gave my heart to the NAF YEARS AGO. Great Job - keep up the good work.

AND I'm excited to hear how many flutes you own as I'm amassing quite a collection myself lol...I think I'm up to 6!! :) (some are much less expensive than the HS. and I do love them too..but Odel really makes high quality flutes!! i just got a high b birch which I really like!)

Maria, the only people you could possibly bore, would be NAF haters. Haven't met any of those lately. I think they are related to mama haters. Yuk!!

Beautiful! Delicately played! And I know it can be hard to play delicately on low notes on such a big flute. I have a tenor recorder that I'll get out after I move, to share. Love your special effects!!!

Hi there,
Dulcimer couple John and Karen Keane wrote a cool songbook and I'm trying to learn the songs. They are specifically in the key of bm so that you could play them with the dad dulcimer but I'm playing it slower than the cd so I recorded it with my low Dm which I'm trying to get better at playing!

The songbook and cd are called Dulciflute and it's great!!
