This is a beautiful song written by Anne Dodson. The music was published in the Fall 2001 Edition of Dulcimer Players News I received my copy at the DAA festival in Latham NY in March. I reached out to Anne Via email and got her permission to play her song and record it. Here is the link for her website. Thank you so much for watching. My dulcimer journey began on November 13, 2015.

Just found this one too. Love the way you play. Gorgeous. Soothing.
Thanks so much Matt! I'm so glad that you liked my playing!! Anne wrote a great song and was so kind to give me permission to interpret it!!

That was beautiful -- I just immediately settled down and closed my eyes as I heard you play. So relaxing - thanks!
Thanks so much I really appreciate it!!

Maria, that was very very pretty. Great finger work.
Thanks so much Terry,
I really like playing with a pick but it's neat how you can alter the change of the tone when you finger pick. Just listen to how different it sounds with me just doing the "strumming" using my fingers like a pick vs when I start to actually finger pick...the tone changes to much more mellow in my opinion!!
Take care and thanks for the kind words!!
Maria
Lovely song Maria, you played it very well. Really nice you asked the song writer to post it then give her a recording. I really enjoyed listening.
Well I just wanted to make sure she was okay with it. And she was quite lovely and so kind!
Thanks
Maria
That is a very beautiful Tune Maria...i can understand you wanting to get the ok to record and post it.... great job on the playing even with the doggie head butt.
Thanks Helen,
She was so very nice too! and yeah that was too funny with my dog!!

That was really pretty, Maria. Thanks for telling about your dulcimer at the end. I thought that was a Folkcraft and was trying to figure out what woods it was made of.
Oh thanks so much Gail. Yes my husband totally shocked me with this one. I was a the Friday night "jam" in the poconos and he comes walking downstairs with it (he had left the room and I didn't know where he went) I couldn't even concentrate after that...I really love this dulcimer. It's very different than the McSpadden and yet I love it almost equally...I guess it's like children...lol...
Take care

Anne is a wonderful singer/songwriter. I have had the privilege of meeting her several times, although, that has been many years ago now. She has some health issues I believe so she doesn't perform as much as she once did.
I asked permission from Anne to record this song and sent her the copy of the video before posting it.
She was happy that I did it and gave me written permission to do so!!
So here's my version of her pretty song!
Thanks for watching!
