Don't let the broken MD stop you from coming to Huddersfield - there will be spare instruments there and it is such a rare treat to meet other UK players too. I will have several MDs with me and would be delighted to let you try stuff out. I am not sure if my Mrs Doyle impersonation works in print, but I feel the urge to say "Aah, go on.... Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, GO ON!"
Helloooooo - good to see another northerner on here. Are you coming to the Nonsuch Dulcimer outdoor gathering in Huddersfield on Sun 7th August? It is an informal gathering for players of both types of dulcimer (hammered and mountain) and I will certainly be there.
