Oh that sounds delicious! I had some fresh basil and olive oil bread which made the mater sandwich all that much yummier. I had not heard of Black Krim...I'll have to look that up. Our lettuce is long done here, but we have another fall planting coming up when the weather cools.

We too are eating the best tomatoes right now from our garden! I'm growing some Black Krim, which is a whole lot like the Cherokee Purple.

Today Brian made us some incredible BLTs for lunch....he bought fresh bread, fried up some apple smoked bacon, and we used crisp head lettuce from the garden and we thick-sliced several of our big meaty Black Krim tomatoes, a dab of Miracle Whip....mmmmm!

That tomato is gorgeous! You're having one of my favorite lunches. Don't have dukes mayo here, but I do use hellman's.
