Thanks Sam and Karen. I really enjoy this song and I hadn't thought of it in a long time...but I pulled out and old time fiddle tunes book and there it was! I bet your third graders like it too.....its a toe tapper! :)
Thanks Phil! Wayne, I have a possum board for my McSpadden....that does make a difference on that instrument. I'm hoping I don't have to sell one...I like them both for different reasons. I would only have to sell for reason of spousal complaint. :)
I hope my zillion videos aren't too much. I've always had a terrible time playing solo in front of others.....when I wanted to learn the dulcimer I told myself I was going to put it all out there for others to see......good or bad. So I've played for anyone who has come over to the house...which has been fun actually. I've also videos for the songs I'm learning.....partly to keep track of my learning process but mostly for the part of myself that is getting over being afraid. What's the point of keeping your music to yourself?? It doesn't have to be perfect.......it just has to be. I hope my small effort will encourage others who are afraid to share their music.
Thanks Wayne...was good fun!! That is a false back on the dulcimer. Seems to give it a little more sound...not necessarily any more volume that I can tell. But what do I know?? :) :) I do know I love this dulcimer...it has only three strings which I'm finding easier than four (with two melody together).
Dusty, too bad we don't live closer...we could trade for a bit. I'd like to try your dulcimette! Well if you come to the mountains of NC ever you must stop by.

Nice playing, Cheryl. I especially like some of that syncopated strumming. It also looks like a beautiful dulcimer. Yes, I am jealous.
Thank you Danny. That was quite a while ago! Still love that tune!
Had my toes a tappin' there!

Great job Cheryl. I worked on this tune with my third grade choir this year. They loved it and so do I.
WOO HOO ... an old favorite. Loved the way you played it. I'll visit this vid often I'm sure.
Thanks Patty! Very kind of you!
I like this I didn't see any warts
Bobby, thanks and I think your exactly right...it does push me to try to get it right! Thanks also RNLackey, appreciate the encouragement!
