I just love the idea ofa dulcimer matching a jeep. How cool is that? That's a nice song for an octave dulcimer. I might have to give it a try. Oh, and that koa wood looks amazing.
The one on my lap is a professional model made by Bill Davis he calls them Papaw's Dulcimers. This on is made of Koa with a Ebony fret board and a possum board on the bottom it has a pickup in it so I can amp it. It has a wonderful low action and is very easy to play and has a beautiful sound. I'll play something and post it for you to hear. When the sun shines on it, it looks like there is gold dust in the wood.

Sounds great Dana. and I love the story of it. :) Can you tell us a little about the other one on your lap? Looked quite beautiful.
