This is a song I wrote 4 yrs ago about my papaw that worked on the L&N RR. He started working at 15 yrs old so all the guys on the gang nick named him babe. ...
Loved it Dana. Like usual, your songwriting is great! I can just hear the train rolling down the tracks in your strumming too. Your Papaw would be proud!

Fantastic, Dana! You do your ancestors honor with this wonderful song.
Thank you everyone, I was playing on my modern mountain dulcimer dad but I was playing my chords on the bass string. That is the reason it sounds lower. Just reversed the chords. I wrote this song so long ago and I'm so happy now to be able to play it and sing it at the same time. I usually just sing it accapella or with someone else plays with me. I think I'm finally getting the hang of the dulcimer. LOL

Thanks Mandy good to hear from you.

Thanks Brian and Nila, he was a very special man to me and I miss him very much. I'm glad I wrote the song, wish he could have been around to hear it.
and you accompanyment was fine.
Jan if it wasn't for you showing me how i still wouldn't be playing and singing it. Thank you very much.
Good job, Dana! Have to wonder, though, if it was my accompanying you this past weekend that made you decide to both sing and play the song yourself!
