Gentle Woman -
Dulcimer Arrangement in DAd
Sound created on the Boss GT-1 Processor
Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star
so strong and bright,
gentle mother peaceful dove
teach us wisdom; teach us love.
You were chosen by the Father:
You were chosen for the Son,
You were chosen from all women
and for woman shining one.
Gentle woman, quiet light, morning star
so strong and bright
gentle mother peaceful dove
teach us wisdom; teach us love
Blessed are you among women
Blest in turn all women, too.
Blessed they with peaceful spirits
Blessed they with gentle hearts.

Yes,
It is Hail Mary: Gentle Woman (#782 Text/Tune: Carey Landry arr. by Martha Lesinski)
The art for this is my own, ("Gentle Woman, Quiet Light") morning star so strong and bright, is part of the hymn - I was doing it in a Celtic manuscript style.
Thank you all, I have always like this song and was happy to finally be able to tab & play it.
"teach us wisdom; teach us love" -
Beautifully played and I love the words. Thank you. I look forward to your future postings very much.
I think I am wrong about the author of the song but let's just say that the "Gentle Woman" referred to is most likely Mary.
Loved this piece, Marg. I was looking closely at the picture for this piece and think the title of your song is actually, "Gentle Woman, Quiet Light". It is a Catholic Hymn by Greg Aguar. it has a wonderful ethereal sound as you play it.
I think you are correct! However, lovely melody and I could see Tommy singing it.
I think you might be mistaking Gentle Woman with Gentle Annie.
For some reason this makes me think of Tommy Makem,Irish balladeer, did he sing it?
