Thank y'all for the kind words. This is one of the reasons I love FOTMD.This is Doc Bogg's version. He learned it in the 30s according to Don Pedi, who inspired me to learn this. I'm going to change some of the lyrics to serve my veteran purposes, and then I'll sing it, Bobby. But I don't know who will appreciate that!I didn't mean the Reaper feel, but I see it now. I may keep it!Thank you Robin, John and Geekling for talking nicely about my dulcimer. I love this little guy. I'll be finished with a double bout next week, and I'm really excited for the way it is turning out. Kickingboots.blogspot.com.I really miss my purple pick. Thank goodness the guy gave me a bunch of picks, and he said they were all magical.Big smiles to all!

You've got that dark-cloud-sound the tune calls for, Mark! Your dulcimer has good tone and the sound projects well even without the purple pick. ;)
I enjoyed this very much. Great tune for autumn chills! My favorite listening version for O Death is Dwight Diller of WV... but there are so many great sources and versions for this old song. Where did you get inspired for it, Mark?

I love the "grim reaper" quality of this video.
I am having fun watching and listening! You make me smile!
You are off to a great start - and if you are having fun - that is the one Most Important thing!
Keep strumming and smiling!
Cindy
The DAC tuning sounds really good on that dulcimer. Keep up the good work, and we hope to see y'all again real soon!
