The bridge is treated like a bridge on a guitar. The bridge sits on a bridge plate and over the x-braces that are on the inside of the instrument. I am happy to answer additional questions.
Hi Rick, I really love this design! I've been working on a design with the sound hole under the fret board as well. I was wondering if you could pass along any advice on that. I've only done the traditional sound hole designs. I'm wondering specifically about the way you do the bridge. Thanks!
I had built some guitars and the fixed bridge was what I was used to, no other reason.
I do like the look and proportions ..... Very very nice!
I also am interested in the bridge.
Have you any specific reason for using a fixed bridge as opposed to a floating bridge and tailpiece?
