Bouree Public Domain Song on Ohana Baritone Ukuele

musician/member name: Music
Duration: 00:00:45
description:
I bought this uke from Mim (Mim's Ukes) last January. Unfortunately I had it only a weekend before rupturing a ligament in my left hand. This injury was compounded by an initial misdiagnosis and then eventually surgery to re-attach the ligment with an anchor into my bone. I couldn't play guitar or uke or dulcimer for 6 months. Here is a quick overdue demo of a public domain song. Bouree. There is no effects on this recording at all. It was simply recorded straight into a clean track in Logic Pro X on my Macbook Pro. Thanks for watching. (Mim installed a Misi Pick up and did an excellent set up job. This uke is like butter to play with unbelievable action.!

This is the first time using iMovie in like forever. I didn't like what they did to it a few years back but I figured I would give it another shot.

Beautiful tone!

Maria have you done much multi-track recording with the MacBook Pro? I currently have Logic Pro on an iMac but my studio is getting full and I wanted to downsize a bit. I'm just a little nervous going solely laptop.

As for iMovie, I agree. I decided to go with Final Cut Pro since I did video production a few years ago.

Thanks for writing!

I have done some and I think the newer macbooks are just as good if not better than the older studio macs. I haven't had any trouble with it! I don't use it often as I mostly record with my iPad ~ Good luck

Hello Maria

You sure have a nice sounding uke.  Sweet.

I have several ukes, but my go to ukelele is a Kala baritone,  that I purchased from Mims Ukukeles, several years ago.  It's a great ukulele.   Glad to read that you are physically able to play again.

Thanks so much Terry. I really like the tone to!! Mim's great!! she is a pro and I'm glad i bought it from her!! and thanks for your kind words on my recovery!!

I still get pain but I'm just learning to play through it now! but that's mostly the arthritis not form the surgery!! thanks again

Maria
