I've been away for awhile and don't know how I missed this. I've been working on this achingly beautiful song for quite awhile...little spurts....to sing. It's so beautiful, thanks for recording it. Maybe I'll be able to actually make it through all the way to record at some point. Thanks for some inspiration.

Good Brian! I used to have a great recording of that air played by Finbar Furry on the Irish pipes. I always liked itWell played to you again Bryan :-)
Thanks Marion! Do you mean where do I get the music for these tunes? If so, I get them from many places. Some I just learn by ear (I have a fairly large celtic and folk music collection), or from music or tab books, or most commonly, from the internet. There are thousands of tunes available online. :)
Hello Brian! It's a pleasure to hear you again on this site, we missed you! I knew this tune as the melody of "The Valley Lay Smiling" played on a 1982 LP by Jake Walton and Roger Nicholson . I love it!
Bob and Irene - thank you again for having a listen, and for your generous comments. I really appreciate it. :)
VERY beautifully played. I like it that you've got a metrinome in the background...thanks for inviting us to hear your playing. aloha, irene
Lovely tune.... I can see why it's a favorite. Played well on a beautiful sounding instrument.
Hi Janene! I hope you'll record your version soon. I'm certain it will be lovely. :)
