I've loved music all my life - self-taught on a $50 Yamaha nylon-string guitar, playing Peter, Paul and Mary. These days I gravitate toward anything modal, harp therapy, Scottish/Irish, and Early Music. Love it all!
I've been flying for USAirways/American for 37 years, love to be on the ocean, and have trouble not buying more musical instruments!

Hi Jill,
Thanks for the reply and I have managed to find a Luthier here to build me one. AfterThinking about it my worry was If it got damaged in transit and I would not want that so I’d like to thank you for getting back to me

Jill, yes I still make noters. I can make any thing you have in mind. I also started doing inlay now so that can be done to a handle. I`m primarily a bone carver and make bone guitar slides so making a noter with a bone tip was a great addition to my line of creations. Just to give you an added bit of info...bone will last a lot longer then wood as a tip.
Hi Jill,Thank you for your comments - and your situation is exactly like mine - that ol' index finger on the right hand - that first joint is a problem.Thank you for the suggestion - I am going to order some so I can check them out!I will post more later. Thanks again!Cindy
Hello and welcome to the site. This is a great place to share ideas and listen to music. I hope you enjoy!
Hi Jill, and welcome to the world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
