A Renaissance dance from John Playford's The English Dancing Master, first published in 1651. If I remember correctly, I learned it from an arrangement by Car...
Hi Robert! Thank you so much for your very generous comments. I really appreciate you taking the time.
I also used to play classical guitar, but haven't picked up my guitar in years. Actually, I hadn't picked up any instrument in years, and am only now just getting back into the dulcimer. It's been quite fun reacquainting myself with it. :)
Oh Man!!! That was beautiful and beautifully played! As a classical guitarist, I certainly appreciate the choice of music; as a listener, the gorgeous sound; as a dulcimist, your wonderful technique, especially the right hand. It is a perfect piece for that dulcimer
Hello there "other John"! :) Thank you very much for having a listen! I think I might have mentioned it before, but I really love the sound of this dulcimer. It's the only cedar top dulcimer I've ever owned, and I fell it love with it when I first heard it. Unfortunately, it appears that it's a little softer (perhaps?) than some other woods, because this one seems to dent/scuff much more easily than any other I've had. I feel bad that I can't keep it looking like new, but I do try to take care of it.

Anyway, thank you again for listening/commenting.
The mellow tone of that dulcimer is well suited to the music being played on it, thank you Brian,
