Folkcraft butternut/walnut dulcimer. DAA tuning, capo at 1st fret. Arrangement by Rich Carty. (Next time I'll try to remember to wear something a little nicer than a white t-shirt.) :)
John - thank you very much for your comment. I am glad you enjoyed it. :)

John, Wayne - thank you for the generous comments. I'm glad you liked it. I had mentioned to my friend and dulcimer mentor Rich Carty that there seemed to be no interest when I put this dulcimer up for sale even though I thought the price was a fair starting point, and he suggested I keep it and tune it lower (DAA/EAA) as he particularly loves the sounds of the butternut tops in these tunings. (He's also been trying to get me away from playing almost exclusively in DAD, and I admit, I didn't fully realize some of the things DAA has to offer.) I have to agree, I like how it sounds in DAA/EAA quite a bit and at this point will probably just hang on to it. Thanks again!

See...tie-dye is where it's at lol. This is really pretty in DAA and you played it beautifully...really nice! The ending resolution (or lack thereof) gives this a very haunting quality...almost a subliminal continuance of the piece once it ends.
