Gail, RN - thank you so much! I really do like this instrument and should play it more. I'm sure you can't tell from these cell phone recordings, but the sound is so much more full than my favorite "go-to" cedar top dulcimer. And it has much more volume to play with as well. RN - while I appreciate your comment, my playing is never flawless. I just try not to post the most egregious mistakes. lol. :)

Nice, Brian! Interesting sound from the instrument, too. And, of course, your playing is as flawless as ever!

Dusty, somehow I missed your comment. Just wanted to say thanks to you too! Much appreciated. Yeah, I don't use 1-4-8 a lot either, but I do like the tuning.

Patty - thank you! Carrie, actually, no on the fast fret (I still haven't used it) but yes - Wayne had asked me at Nutmeg to post something with the custom Folkcraft. :)

Very nice, bouncy reel, Brian. This is a tuning I don't use nearly enough.

Carrie, Jim - thank you very much! Carrie, I love this dulcimer, but I still don't play it as much as my favorite cedar-top. Also, I've been experimenting with strings. Currently I have on there a set that is all phosphor bronze. They are a bit too thin/bright for my tastes, so I will eventually stop being lazy and put some steel back on. :)
