Thanks Robin. I love the drones, two. The sound, the tuning, the strumming/picking...I agree with an earlier post, a zither is a stringed bagpipe. Especially when tuned dddddddd.

That's a lovely instrument Jack - great craftsmanship.  The additional drones really add such depth to the sound.

The tone and sustain from the scheitholt is amazing! I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I am with mine. I have a video posting tomorrow that I think you've already seen. I will film another one shortly: a brand new composition in a really cool tuning: ddAEeeAE. You are going to LOVE it! (The tuning at least giggle2 )

This instrument is FULL of songs to discover joyjoy
