Achieving a life long dream of learning to play a musical instrument. I shamelessly sing in the car every day and now practice my dulcimer every day. Life is so much better with music in it.

Hi and welcome. I am a former Hoosier born in Indianapolis but retired to Arizona. How old are your grandchildren?
Hi, Kandee! I'm glad I got to meet you in person at KMWW--that's one of the really neat things about being on this site--getting to meet people you've been connecting with online.
Welcome to FOTMD! I hope you have a great time exploring this site and making new dulcimer friends! Feel free to ask any question that pops into your head...we were all beginners once!
Wow, I just saw all these welcome messages. Guess I need to scroll down more often! Thanks for the friendly welcome everyone!
Welcome to FOTMD Kandee. It's good to have you aboard.

"The dulcimer sings a sweet song."
Howdy and welcome to FOTMD!
Welcome, Kandee, to this little corner of dulcimer heaven. I've heard of the Kentucky Woman, but never heard her. She must have been a good un. We were all beginners once, so any questions you have just ask. Hope you enjoy it here.

Hello and welcome to the site. This is a great place to share ideas and listen to music. I hope you enjoy!
Hi Kandee, and welcome to the wonderful world of the Friends of the Mountain Dulcimer. It's a good place to come, spend some time, learn about the dulcimer, and to meet some good people.
Ben
Greetings from Vermont Kandee and welcome to the site. The dulcimer is a great instrument to learn, especially playing noter/drone. You can get used to it pretty quickly and get somewhere. Then you can keep doing it forever and sound like John Henry or john p. There's a lot of good music here. Have fun.
Hey Kandee, welcome aboard. Glad ya found us.
