I'm Getting There!
Photo Description:
I've got the shape done and the gourd nearly fitting the way I want it. Now I'm just fine tuning stuff and will start on the nut, bridge, etc.

I had such a great summer that I just could not get my head back in the shop for work. I have plenty to do, but life just gets in the way! Today was a break through, where I'm working on the gourd banjo I started this summer.
Thank you, Ken and Kevin! It means much to me to be validated!
Kevin, I actually have three work areas. One where I do my resawing and other dirty work. Then I have this room, where I do not-so-dirty stuff. And then I have an area where I do my finishes. But I do try to keep a clean shop, and I've always been that way. I get really confused by clutter and cannot focus on my tasks.
I've seen builders whose shops are cleaner than mine--but not many! And I've seen ones where I have no idea how they function. But I was in one builder's shop and asked him where his whatever tool was, and he went right to a pile of stuff on a table, stuck his hand under the pile, and came out with the tool. I just smiled at him because it was incomprehensible to me. And he just smile back because he knew that it was!
I guess even my dirty part is pretty clean!
Nice Mark. But what jumps out at me is how clean the shop is, my shop is not that clean when it's clean. LOL
It's looking good, Mark. You're doing great work as usual. Nice little repair in the other photo.
