As wood gets cut down it sometimes relaxes in ways that I don't intend. So I cut wood and let it live that way for a couple of days, check it, and then rework it if necessary before making the next cuts. The fretboard barely moved, so I planed it again and cut it down to this stage.

This is my newest build. I am lucky enough to work with Bill Taylor on his last instruments. He wants to pay me cash money, but I talked him into trading wood for work--he loves turning wood into folk art others can play with as much as I do!
