Thanks, Nina. I have one of those clip-on things which I use with a tuner, but I also have one MD with a built-in mic. I have hesitated buying an amp because I wouldn't be able to use it with my other instruments. But if that clip-on thing works OK . . .

No, I am not on Facebook. My entire professional life is online so I get my privacy by going by my nom-de-plume on dulcimer sites. My wife is on Facebook, so perhaps I'll check out your videos with her help. Is there a reason you haven't posted those videos on YouTube or here at FOTMD?

Dusty, that is a clip-on mike, which i then plug into a little microcube amp. It's a bit of a cob-job on amplification, but works OK in a fairly small venue. The clip-on thing is really designed for tuning, but I use it as a mike for dulcimers that don't have a pickup.
