This is a continuation of my progress in learning the mountain dulcimer. I began my journey in this quest on November 13, 2015 after severing the middle finger of my guitar fretting hand in October.
This instrument has found its way into my heart and into my life.
This public domain song was arranged by Jerry Rockwell using a dulcimer that he hand created.
I will be revisiting this song as I played it two times straight thru but realize now that I was supposed to play the first part two times and then go to the chorus.
Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much Lexie! I really appreciate it. I'm loving the dulcimer so much in fact as I type I'm at the end of day one of the Albany dulcimer festival and I'm having a blast. It's my first festival as my original first (Pocono ) got postponed due to a storm

Lovely, Maria. Such a wonderful tune! Jerry's dulcimers are treasures! (I own two.) His instruments and musicianship are exquisite. And I'm fortunate to count Jerry as a friend, too.
Thanks so much Robin,
i really appreciate your kind words. And although I've only just gotten to know Jerry a short time I can see what a genuinely great person he is. He's been a huge supporter of my endeavor into the dulcimer and I credit him with giving me the courage to try new things with the dulcimer.
Thanks for watching

I've totally gotten D.A.D and I couldn't resist when I saw a Jerry Rockwell up for sale on eBay.
It was a great find and I'm so happy with it. I'm playing a tune he arranged and hopefully I will revisit this piece and play it as written (I think I was suppose to play the verse two times then go to the chorus!!) Practice makes perfect and this is day 108 since I started my dulcimer journey.
I love dulcimer so much. Thanks for watching and listening!
