I was away for an overnight with my family and while I was waiting for everyone to get ready for the day I played a little dulcimer.
I'm playing a Jerry Rockwell Yam which is perfect for travel! I've been playing dulcimer now for 6.5 months and love it!!

Thanks for sharing that hymn. The simple and sweet harmony of the dulcimer along with your heart felt singing of this hymn was most enjoyable.
Thanks so much for your kind words. I'm really glad you liked it and felt the spirit that I feel when I sing this song!

I try never to go away without some type of musical instrument. This little dulcimer that I bought used on ebay several months ago is perfect for travel. It's a Jerry Rockwell Yam. I love this song and did a few verses. Eventually I'll have to record it properly and sing all the verses. It was one of my mom's favorite songs and I used to sing it to her at her bedside....I also used to sing it in church when I was the music director...in fact I got "in trouble" for singing it during the wrong "season" that was the same priest who eventually chose an organist over a guitar player...but I had a great 4 years there when the other pastor hired me....He loved it when I sang that song...oh well as My mom used to say "you can't please everyone!"
thanks for watching
