I did some first steps on my "new" auctioned bowed psaltery today and would like to share this little tune with you - I hope you enjoy it - but please be "soft" (nachsichtig) on my beginning :)

@Jennifer - thank you very much for your kind comment. I could imagine that a baritone would sound more pleasant to your ears.

But perhaps the "uncomfortable" sound could also depend on the tension of the bow or how it is rosined - perhaps it might be worth another try? sun

Nicely done,  Ariane!  I acquired a bowed psaltery some months ago and really thought I would enjoy playing it.  I love the way they sound.  But,  nope,  I find that my eardrums vibrate in a rather unpleasant way when I play it.  Lol!  Someday,  I might try a baritone.

I downloaded this to my DAW and want to join you on this tune! If this is your "beginning" on a bowed psaltery, I can't fathom what you consider advanced!
