Scarborough Fair

musician/member name: Music
Duration: 00:02:51
description:
"Scarborough Fair" is my first order for a "Wish for a Tune" (which the tune wisher allowed me to upload).

I offer the service "Wish for a Tune" on my website - for more information please find following the link to it:

---------------------------------------------------

"Scarborough Fair" was written in the 16th/17th century.
A former pair of lovers ask each other to perform impossible tasks in order to become a love pair again.
In the end the main thing is not to accomplish them but to try to meet the challenges.

At that time these four herbs had the following meaning:

Parsley: against bitterness (wish for meekness to ease the bitterness in the relationship)
Sage: strength (wish for mental strength to ride out the time of separation
Rosemary: fidelity, love, energy (wish to stay together)
Thyme: courage (wish for both to perform the impossible tasks)

Scarborough Fair is one of my all-time favorites and your rendition is stunning! You really know how to create beautiful harmonies. You have a wonderful touch with your fingerpicking.

But your recorder/whistle playing is my favorite. You draw such emotion from each phrase that it takes the breath away (no pun intended).

It is unbelievable how fast you took to video editing! You have a knack for finding the right images and creating a story with the editing.

Well done Ariane! bighug
