Thank you so much Hugssandi! Story behind this dulcimer - I had heard about the wonderful dulcimers made by Bill Taylor. I had a guitar that I traded at a music shop in TN for the down payment (I didn't really have a lot of spending money and OH how I wanted this dulcimer). So I picked out the design and the wood, left my guitar for the down payment, and OHHHH I never regretted it!!! And it seems to just get better with age! I took one melody string off while I was working on a little fingerpicking. Well, I love it with 3 strings, and do a fair amount of flatpicking on it. It is my favorite for playing hymns.
OH WOW. That takes my breath away! I love dogwoods... They are Virginia's state tree, and my pink one is so pretty right now amidst everything else that needs cleaning up. WHEW this dulcimer!!!!!
