Awe! That's fun that your Teagan and my Bear have something in common!
My Bear's wood came from an attic of an old house that was being cleared out. Based on the old newspapers found on top of the wormy chestnut, they figured the wood had been there for 75 years! I got to pick out the pieces, and Mike Clemmer had never carved a bear before - so this was a first. If you ever get down to Townsend TN - You HAVE to look him up! He and his wife are wonderful - and he is such a wonderful dulcimer maker and wood carver!
I LOVE WORMY WOOD!!! My Teagan has a little of that going on, as he was built from American Chestnut from an old barn, 100+ years old! ~love, love, love~
