Hello Cindy I'm back it's been awhile about 2 years since I talked to you I had to create a new account cuz it deleted my old one but I made it through the fire and everything I just got my needed off somewhere and I decided to get online and join the site again I hope to hear from you soon
Thank you so much Pam!!! I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends in my life!!!
I am not sure what direction I am heading in at this point, but trying to be patient until we get settled in the new office to see if the storm settles.....which is my hope. The nice thing is, I have had some phone calls, so I do have options
Thank you again and I am so glad you are my friend!
Thank you so much Helen for your very kind words and your encouragement!!! You are so right about all of us being so fortunate and blessed to have such a wonderful place to share not only our love for music, but other things in our lives that are so important. I am quite sure that this place (FOTMD) is partly responsible for me staying as active as I have been with my music....and that is a wonderful thing!!! I can't pass it on to my grandkids if I am not active
Guess I'll get mushy right along with you Helen.....but we're all friends here.....RIGHT????
Thanks again!

Nice, Cindy; very well played. Job woes happen. Not much we can do about it other than hang in there or quit. Sounds like you've hung in pretty well. It all works out in the end.
Welcome to this great sight! I hope we can share and help each other!
My baritone has acherry body, and the top is redwood. The fretboard I believe is also redwood, although I am not certain, but it looks just like the top.
I don't really know if there would be any pros or cons - wood vs ebony for the fretboard.
I hadn't been playing dulcimer very long when I happened to come in contact with this baritone.... I adopted it on the spot. It has such a beautiful sound and the action is really nice. The wound strings do squeak a bit, but you learn to work around that.
Other than that.....I love it. I know some other folks have baritones by other makers and are equally as happy. Maybe post a blog, but then I guess you will get as many different answers as the number of people that respond....
WOW!!!! Can I just say i am completely overwhelmed and humbled by all of your wonderful comments!!!!!
I hope in time I can respond to each of you, but until then, please accept my humble and heart-felt thank you!
I have been going thru a rough time with my job (the companywhere I have worked for 29 1/2 years, sold December 1.) The transition has been anything but pleasant. That being said, I have been working on Silent Night, and Sunday I just needed to focus on music instead of the other things, so that's what I did.
The Lord gets all the praise here - He helped me focus on Him, on Christmas and on playing Silent Night - something I have been wanting to do.
So thank you again for all of the kind and wonderful words - and Thank You Lord - for blessing me with the gift of music - and even greater gift of all of you!
Hey, Cindy! Saw this on Youtube. What a great rendition. I love that way you play the MD and the sound of your baritone. Those Grandboys have a great teacher!
Thanks for posting this Cindy. I sure needed to hear it. You did an excellent job. A beautiful setting for your video.
