I once possessed a long playing record album by Woody Guthrie and his sidekick Cisco Houston.Cisco sang this song with just a simple guitar background.I've forgotten a lot of other things, laugh, but not this song.
That's interesting,Nate. It'd be good for checking schedules, idling times and police presence...still,in my old age I'd advise people to take a Greyhound instead if possible.I remember being surprised in the early 90's,meeting a few young Americans for whom it seemed to be a cultural statement and way of life. They were mostly women which I found interesting.Just before cell phones took over.
Everyone should hop a freight train at least once in their life! You get a view of the world different from that of driving down a highway..that said,it's dangerous and illegal...Only if I was under 20 ,would I do it again.
" It's easier now than ever before for young people! There are phone apps that allow people to listen to the communications between conductors and railyards. A traveler showed me how it works, and you can basically listen to the exact route that any train is going to take, including departure and arrival times.

Really enjoyed this Jamie. Good to hear you singing!
Really love the low sound of the dulcimer. The tuning and melody sound almost weary, and it fits the performance perfectly.
I'm a big fan of the Aaa tuning and, usually, have one dulcimer in that tuning.
